The 2011 Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series reaches the penultimate round this weekend at Sandown. For the Jayco / Cool Drive Falcon of Tim Blanchard, it is very much a home round. The fast and challenging layout of Sandown has produced some good results for Blanchard both in his debut year in 2010 in the Fujitsu Series and in his Formula Ford years.

"Sandown is a very demanding track, particularly on tyres. We found last year that those cars who had managed their tyre allocation the best by race three were very strong" Blanchard commented as the teams set up today. "This weekend will be no different. We need to qualify really well then be in the front group in all races. This weekend is critical to my overall championship campaign" Tim added.

The Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series will run over three 15 lap races - one on Saturday and two on Sunday. A bumper field with some new faces and new cars will spice the racing up.
