travel tales April
10, 2008
The racing as expected in Europe has been fairly tough and the weather conditions didn’t make it any easier. Race 3 we actually had some snow early in the race then the track began to dry out which made it fairly hard to predict how hard you could push. To get a race win this early in the year is absolutely fantastic and I must thank Jamun Racing for supplying such a great car and helping me learn the British way of motor racing.
This weekend we will be racing at Knockhill in Scotland over a 3 race format. Once again the weather will most likely be average as Scotland is well known for its poor weather. In testing we struggled a bit for pace but we will be testing again on the Thursday so will be aiming to find some more speed before we get into the weekends activities. ![]() Just like last year a good consistent approach to the championship will be essential to ensure we are still in the championship hunt come the end of year, therefore this weekend we will once again be aiming for some podium finishes with hopefully another race win! ![]() Away from Motorsport I have settled into life in the UK, what worries
me though is a few friends have noticed that I have picked up a few British
slang words! Over the last few weeks I have done some tourist stuff and
visited Blenheim Palace (where Winston Churchill was born), Duxford Air
Museum and Alton Towers theme park. |
